"Bones of Seabirds - sacrament (CDR) - small doses $8.00 "Considering that this is the first release from Ryan McGill's Bones of Seabirds, the level of craft and maturity is astounding. Rich and densly textured, improvised drones unfold over 8 tracks in 49 minutes. For fans of older Sunn0))) material and Birchville Cat Motel. Edition of 138 numbered copies in a folded cardstock cover with hand cut vellum overlay and insert." -carbon records
"it seems that ryan mcgill is complete unable to cover the same ground twice. this is the fourth (i believe) bones seabirds release, and it sounds nothing like any of the others. this one foregoes the guitars (for the most part) and relies on ryan's handmade voice of saturn synth.the first nearly 35 minute track is intense and brutal - like being strapped into some sort of machine that's boring deeper and deeper into the earth only to slowly burn you alive. the second gives a bit of respite, but leaves you lost in a dark cave drone. it's not to be missed. packaged in a folded artwork by matt yacoub, with an obi and an insert. edition of 129 copies." -carbon recordsbones of seabirds - subterranean lightsource

Bones of Seabirds is hear again, this time offering us his darkest and hardest piece of work yet. This is a 50 minute trek through bleak guitar crust and synth noise. The track immediately hits you with a crumbling wall of noise and harsh screams. The second half of the track bring some deep synth drones and electronic hum/fuzz. This is in the trademark BF tin and features some amazing stuck on artwork, really it's stunning, I wish it was bigger. Recommend! -dead pilot records
